Work-study is a Group priority, in which we engage since several years as a partner for youth professional integration (...) After a two years master degree in Bordeaux, I thought it would be interesting to complete a work-study Mastère spécialisé® in Paris. The plan: a week per month in the School following courses, for three weeks at my employer. Finding a company was almost straightforward. First, thanks to the MAI programme reputation, and secondly thanks to the graduate network that, quicky, allowed me to get two interviews including one at Thales. Without work-study, my path would not have been the same. Companies offering professional training contracts often have a vacancy at the end of the contract. As student-workers, we are truly part of the business's staff and access positions that are more developmental compared to an internship. Another benefit: work-study is a determinant test phase for the company, but also for the student-worker. Icing on the cake: signing the sales of Rafales to Qatar and Egypt accelerated my recruitment... that took place before my graduation.

The apprenticeship track helps us to develop a real sense of organisation. It also makes us more adaptable and reactive, which are qualities sought by businesses.

Work-study allows renewal. This renewal is extremely important as it allows to complete tasks with more interest and focus. The phases are long enough to grant the opportunity to follow a business project from one end to the other.

Finally, acquiring real work experience before graduation enhances our employability ! In my case, my managers granted me way more trust and responsibilities than during an internship.
